This is the WOOL version of our “Sozai to Iro” series: a two-layer sock with silk on the inside, where it touches the skin, and New Zealand merino wool on the outside. Despite the dual layers, it feels as light and easy as a single sock—exceptionally soft and stress-free to wear. In the coldest months, we recommend layering them over toe socks for extra warmth.

The “Sozai to Iro” lineup includes the silk & cotton Short, the silk & cotton Basic, and the silk & wool WOOL. While they share the same structure, each has a distinct texture. We hope you enjoy choosing according to the season and your personal comfort.

“Sozai to Iro WOOL” may appear small at first glance, but it has excellent stretch and comes in a unisex free size. Thin yet warm and highly versatile, it also makes a thoughtful winter gift—perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

Our inner and outer layers are knitted with 100% natural fiber yarns. However, socks also need elastic thread to maintain a comfortable fit and stay in place. As elastic thread made entirely from natural materials is not currently available for sock production in Japan, we use synthetic elastic thread (listed as “under thread”). We carefully design our socks so that natural fibers are in contact with the skin as much as possible.
