These socks are knitted in a two-layer structure, with 100% extra fine merino wool on the inside, where it touches the skin, and 100% cotton on the outside.

Using a generous amount of fine yarn, they are knitted soft and thin — so they look a little smaller and more compact than other socks. After washing, they may shrink further, but thanks to the highly elastic knit, they naturally return to size once worn, giving a soft, springy fit with no constriction.

Wool on the inside and cotton on the outside is an unusual combination, but the cotton exterior adds strength, making these socks easy to wear every day. Extra fine merino wool feels gentle against the skin — never itchy — and its excellent moisture-wicking properties quickly absorb and release sweat from the soles of your feet, keeping the inside of the sock comfortable. They can also be layered over toe socks.

Winter socks tend to prioritize warmth with thick, bulky fabric. We wanted to offer something different: a sock thin and compact enough to wear with your regular shoe size, yet still properly warm. That idea became "Sozai to Iro Warmth." Compared to other socks, you may be surprised by how small it looks at first — but we hope you'll experience its lightness and softness for yourself.
