Although we originally planned to release the new colours in early autumn, we received many requests for a restock after last year’s colours sold out. We also felt that some people may experience cold feet even during the summer months due to air conditioning. For these reasons, we’ve decided to offer our new 2025 Autumn/Winter colours ahead of schedule.

While most people sleep in lightweight clothing during summer, gently warming your feet or stomach can make a surprisingly big difference in comfort.

“Foot Nightwear” is one of Glück und Gute’s signature items, designed to be worn while sleeping. During rest and sleep, it’s important to release your feet from the pressure of shoes and socks while keeping them warm. These socks are made as roomy as possible so that your toes can move freely inside. Unisex and free-size.

The inner layer is made from soft, organic cotton, and the outer layer is spun from 100% New Zealand merino wool for added warmth. With no elastic band, they gently wrap your feet without any tightness, making them perfect for wearing under the covers.

Especially in the colder months, these socks are ideal for the time between your evening bath and going to bed, or on nights when your feet are cold from a busy day. (Once your feet warm up, you may find they slip off naturally in your sleep—this is the fit we aimed for.)

With their fluffy, voluminous texture, they also make a lovely gift.

About the Organic Cotton Inner Layer

The inner layer is dyed using plant-based pigments derived from food waste such as surplus or imperfect produce, as part of our commitment to a more sustainable future. Each colour is connected to its source—please enjoy the story behind them:

• Burnt Orange (inner) / Rooibos: Dyed with off-grade rooibos leaves imported from South Africa for tea. A gentle yet vivid hue.

• Stone Grey (inner) / Swertia Japonica: A medicinal herb traditionally used in Japan for digestive health. This colour comes from leftover materials after extracting the herbal essence.

• Moss Green (inner) / Red Turnip: Made with the root of a traditional Kisō-region turnip, known for its deep blue hue and warm tone reminiscent of clear winter skies.

• Dark Purple (inner) / Blueberry: Dyed with imperfect or damaged blueberries carefully grown at a Japanese fruit farm.

• Heather Pink (inner) / Rose: Created using unsellable petals from richly fragrant red roses.
