Our winter staple, “Ashi no Nemaki,” has a new open-toe version: “Ashi no Nemaki Vent.”

“Ashi no Nemaki” was designed to gently warm cold feet until you fall asleep, with a relaxed fit loose enough to come off naturally under the covers. At the same time, we also heard from customers who tend to feel heat in their feet: “My feet feel cold, but once I put them on, they quickly become too warm.”

With those customers in mind, we wanted to create a sleep sock that would make it easier to regulate the temperature around the toes. After about two years of trial and error — creating an opening at the toes turned out to be more difficult than it sounds — “Ashi no Nemaki Vent” was finally completed.

The final touch is still done by hand.
Each opening around the ankle is individually finished with a sewing machine.

The open-toe design makes it easier to regulate temperature at the feet. They can be worn like socks, yet also feel a little like warmers. With the toes peeking out slightly, they offer a different wearing experience from our regular “Ashi no Nemaki.”

If the extra airflow makes even one person think, “I’m glad there is a Vent version,” we would be very happy. We hope you enjoy the gentle comfort of natural materials.
