Snug is Glück und Gute’s handmade room shoe, made from wool and rayon, a regenerated fiber derived from natural materials and biodegradable by nature. The felt fabric is sewn into a three-dimensional shape and finished by hand.

Thanks to the natural qualities of wool — insulation, warmth, and moisture absorption and release — Snug feels comfortable even when worn barefoot, without becoming stuffy.

Wool also has natural self-cleaning properties, making it less prone to dirt. It keeps your feet warm in winter, while in warmer seasons it absorbs and releases excess moisture, allowing you to enjoy a dry, comfortable feel even when worn barefoot. Snug can be used throughout the year and pairs beautifully with Glück und Gute socks.

The difference between Snug90 and Snug80 is the wool content. Snug90 is made with 90% wool, using a firmer felt fabric with a thickness of approximately 3 mm. Snug80 is made with 80% wool and 20% regenerated fiber, resulting in a softer, fuller fabric with a thickness of approximately 4 mm.

〈 A new insole model has been added to Snug80 〉

We have created a new version of the Snug80 room shoe, combined with an insole by BMZ.

On the sole of the foot is a bone called the cuboid, which plays an important role in the body’s balance and stability. BMZ’s insole has a unique structure designed to support the cuboid area, helping guide the arch of the foot toward its natural position and supporting everyday movements such as standing and walking.

Even while spending time at home, a more stable foundation at the feet may gently influence posture and the overall balance of the body.

This model originally came from my own physical discomfort.

At one point, I suddenly experienced strong pain around my shoulder blade, and the discomfort continued for quite some time. As I began to think more deeply about how I use and care for my body, a bodywork therapist pointed out the condition of my feet. To support the cuboid area, I was advised to wear sports shoes even inside the house.

However, I am not someone who usually wears sports shoes often, and I felt some resistance to wearing them at home. That was when the BMZ foot-training insole was recommended to me.

I purchased one to try and placed it inside my room shoes. I noticed a difference in the stability of my feet, as well as a change in how I stood and how my body felt in everyday life.

At first, I was simply placing an existing insole inside the room shoe, so there were some points that felt slightly mismatched in terms of appearance and material compatibility. From there, we began making prototypes and exchanged ideas many times with BMZ. This model was created as a form that fits naturally inside the room shoe.

It is a pair that adds gentle support from the sole of the foot to the comfort of natural materials. A room shoe designed to help the time you spend at home feel a little more grounded and balanced.

You can choose the insole version as an option.

〈 About Snug90 For Travel 〉

Whenever I go on a business trip or travel, I always bring the thinnest and lightest Snug with me.

The travel model is made from felt with a higher wool content than Snug80, giving it a firmer texture. Because it is thin and flat, it slips easily into the space of a suitcase. The M size weighs approximately 130 g for both feet.

It feels especially nice after taking a shower while traveling. Even when worn barefoot, it does not feel sticky, allowing your feet to stay comfortable.

When I return to the hotel from outside, I use the disposable slippers provided in the room. After bathing, I change into my Snug90 For Travel. Somehow, just doing that gives me the relaxed feeling of having returned home.

After returning from a trip, gently press-wash by hand, spin-dry lightly, and hang to dry. It will be ready to accompany you comfortably on your next journey.

〈 Please note 〉

Please refrain from wearing Snug outdoors.

We do not apply an anti-slip sole, as it can sometimes catch on the floor and make walking less smooth. Although the felt becomes less slippery when weight is placed on it, please take care when using Snug on stairs or wooden flooring.

〈 Care 〉

If you are concerned about dirt, gently press-wash by hand for a short time using wool detergent or a mild neutral detergent. Spin-dry lightly for about two minutes, reshape, and dry in the shade.

〈 Left and right 〉

The models without an insole can be worn on either foot and have a 2-way foldable heel.

The model with an insole does not have heel fabric and is made with the insole placed inside. As a result, the left and right sides are specified. The Glück und Gute tag is attached to the left side, so please use it as a guide when wearing.

The travel model can be worn on either foot.
