From our winter classic “Ashi no Nemaki” comes a new design — “Ashi no Nemaki Vent”, an open-toe version created to bring even more comfort.

Our original Ashi no Nemaki was designed to gently wrap cold feet until you fall asleep, with a relaxed fit that naturally slips off under the blanket once your feet are warm.However, some people who often experience warm or flushed feet told us,“My feet feel cold at first, but soon become too hot when I wear them.”

To make a version that anyone could wear comfortably, we decided to create a pair with a small air opening at the toes.Though it sounds simple, adding an “air vent” to the toe area was surprisingly challenging. After about two years of trials and adjustments — and with the advice of skilled technicians — Vent was finally completed last year.Each pair is carefully finished by hand, with the openings sewn one by one using a sewing machine.

This design helps regulate foot temperature, offering the comfort of a sock with the lightness of a warmer.Your toes peek slightly through the opening, giving a different, more open feel compared to the standard Ashi no Nemaki.

Just like the original, the inside is made from organic cotton dyed with natural pigments derived from food-loss materials, while the outside uses 100% New Zealand merino wool.
If even one person feels that Vent makes their nights more comfortable, that alone makes us happy.
