Ashi no Koromo, Linen
“Ashi no Koromo — Linen” is knitted from 100% linen yarn.
To allow you to fully enjoy the natural texture and comfort of pure linen, even the reinforcing yarn used at the toes and heels is linen.
The socks are designed to be worn comfortably without constricting the feet.
Linen has long been closely connected with everyday life and traditional practices. It grows vigorously with relatively little need for pesticides or intensive care, and has historically been valued as a versatile natural material. With its excellent moisture absorption, quick-drying properties, and natural antibacterial qualities, linen is also a comfortable material for the feet.
The Long Length is designed to give a little more coverage when worn with rolled-up trousers or skirts,
while the Short Length is a useful choice for lighter outfits and sneakers.
We hope you enjoy choosing the length that best suits your clothing and the way you want to wear them that day.
They are comfortable worn on their own, allowing you to fully enjoy the natural feel of linen against the skin.
On slightly cooler days, we also recommend layering them over our “Ashi no Hadagi” toe socks.
Although linen is often associated with summer, it also provides a moderate degree of warmth, making these socks suitable for year-round wear.

Our socks are knitted with natural fiber yarns. However, socks also need elastic thread to maintain a comfortable fit and stay in place. As elastic thread made entirely from natural materials is not currently available for sock production in Japan, we use synthetic elastic thread (listed as “under thread”). We carefully design our socks so that natural fibers are in contact with the skin as much as possible.
*For size L, please see this page.
*The Short Length is currently sold out. New colors are scheduled to be released around February 2027,
and we hope you will look forward to them.

Thoughtfully knitted using carefully selected natural materials.
